The morning seminar is aimed at parents with babies and toddlers up to 18 months. Meg Faure (OT) looks at How to Stimulate your baby to ensure he reaches his potential. Next Dr Paul Sinclair, a paediatrician in Cape Town will answer all your health questions as he looks at “When to call the doctor”. Kath Megaw, paediatric dietician and co-author of Feeding Sense will look at introducing solids and feeding a toddler. Not getting enough sleep? Sr Ann Richardson will give you solutions for your baby’s sleep problems.
The afternoon Birth and Newborn seminar is essential for pregnant parents. This is really the best crash course in birth and the first three months, you would wish for. Well known antenatal teacher and expert editor of Your Pregnancy, Tina Otte reveals your Birth Options and how to have an Active birth. Meg Faure looks at how to ease your baby from womb to world – essential lessons if you want a calm baby. Kath Megaw gives you the basics on breastfeeding and other milk feeds for the first three months. Ann Richardson looks at Newborn basics – from cord care to rashes and everything in between.
Launching this year are two exciting practical Workshops . In the morning, we have the Johnson’s Baby Massage workshop – in this practical workshop Tina Otte will teach you massage techniques for your UNBORN baby and newborn. In the afternoon, you can learn practical menus and food preparation for your baby and Toddler in the HIPP Organic Feeding workshop.
