Baby waking earlier and earlier

Q: Until recently our six-month-old baby was sleeping until 4:00, waking for a bottle and then sleeping until 6:30. This changed this week. He has taken to waking up at 3:00 for a bottle and then at 5:00 again. When he wakes up at 5:00am he is not interested in going back to sleep. I give him a dummy but he is wide-awake. During the day he is awake for 2-hour periods, he is put to sleep in his cot every night at 7:00 in a happy awake state and has a baby sense blanket. Our plan was to wait until he was six months and then cut back on his nighttime bottle but he has had a cold so we have left things as...

Q: My husband and I are really distressed as we have tried sleep training with our son, Oliver (11&1/2 months)this weekend (started Sat pm) and it does not appear to be working. Thought maybe you could give us advice and motivation to continue or suggest something different. Some background: Oliver is accustomed to being rocked/walked to sleep to calming music for his daytime naps at 9am (for 30min) and 1pm (for 1&1/2hrs). At night he will fall asleep on our bed with one of us lying next to him. Problem is that he has now learnt the wrong sleep associations (rocking/ being cuddled to sleep or...

Q: My baby boy is 5 months. I have been sleep training him, however, I have noticed that he wakes up constantly during his lunch nap which is from 12h00 - 2pm. When he wakes he cries but still sounds sleepy. On the occasions where I have picked him up and rubbed his back, he has had a wind or burped and brought up some milk (curdled). I breastfeed and alternate with formula as well. He is on S26. What boggles my mind is that he sleeps from 22h30 – 06h30 without waking up and being bugged by winds. Am I sending out the wrong signals by picking him up? Will he go off to sleep again if he has a wind? I...

Q: Hi there I am a mom to a 7 week old, and initially his day sleeps were fine, textbook however in the past couple of weeks i cannot get him to sleep longer than 45 mins at 11am. He sleeps for an hour in the morning - anywhere from 830am - 10am. Then 45 mins from 330 / 4pm. However he wakes after 45 miins of sleep at 11am. How long should he be sleeping for? This really does not give me enough time to rest during the day. At night he is a champ. We bath at 6pm, have some food and then asleep by 7pm. He will then wake anytime from 1am - 230am. And then again at 5am (thinking its playtime). So routine...
