Product ideas

One of the most fun things about being part of Baby Sense are the wonderful ideas that are out there to help make pareting easier. We try hard to design, invent and produce really useful products. All our products center around sleep and calming babies. We currently have three products on the burner, being developed, perfected and costed. It is quite a process: to give you an idea - last week a mom came in to see me with an ingenious idea for a dummy (pacifier) attachment. I like the idea and want to work with her to bring it to market. So now Charmaine, who helps me with product development will start to source the best possible quality parts of this product. Paula who is in charge of what our brand looks like will design the pretty features and packaging. Liesbet, our financial guru will cost it and make sure we can afford to do it and that you won’t pay too much.

At any point now, this product could be put aside - if the cost is too high, the parts unattainable or the design not right. So for ages you won’t see this product. But if it does make it to market, we will be proud of it and you will love it!!

Now its your turn - please let me know what you have seen and what you need! We aim to make your dream a quailty reallity!

I am a South African mother of 2 little girls. I had my first in South Africa and my second in Israel where we are now living. Firstly I would like to know if you have ever considered having the Babysense book translated into Hebrew as I truely believe there would be a market here for the book and the products.

    Hi Natasha

Thank you for your comment. The books are currently published in the following languaes - English, Afrikaans, Spanish and Portuguese. They are not yet in Hebrew I am afraid, but it is good to know there is a demand. Perhaps sometime in the future.

I saw on your website that there is a Toddler Sense book, but it is not available to buy in the USA. Do you think it will be sometime? I work in early intervention as an occupational therapist and am always looking for good books to recommend to my clients. I liked your book Baby Sense and can only imagine that Toddler Sense is well-written also.

    Hi
My daughter is 7 and has recently been assessed by an ot. She is a sensory seeking child. I have been reading up on sensory integration disorder and so much of her behaviour is starting to make sense! She takes a very long time to fall asleep, always has, often lying quietly for an hour or more before sleeping. She also struggles to get going in the mornings. What is helping a lot is a weighted blanket which I have borrowed for now. It is not easy to find them for sale. Would you consider introducing it into your range even if only for babies? It would have made such a difference if I had known about it years ago!
I love the baby sense products. The sling was my sanity saver when my son was a baby and although he is now 3 he will not part with his taglet!
